Yolo County Democratic Party Endorses Propositions 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, and 1E
Yolo
County, CA –The Yolo County Democratic Central Committee today
announced their endorsement of Propositions 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, and 1E on
California’s May 19 special election ballot. Propositions 1A through 1E
are aimed at preserving the vital services that Californians depend on,
especially during these difficult times while also putting into place
long-term solutions to ensure we never again face the type of budget
deficits or cuts to programs like we faced this year.
“Saying
YES to Propositions 1A through 1E is the best thing that Californians
can do to protect education, health care and social services during
these challenging economic times,” said Bob Schelen, Chair of the Yolo
Democratic Central Committee. “Propositions 1A-1E are an important
first step in protecting the children, seniors and California’s most
vulnerable citizens from deep and devastating cuts and we ask voters to
stand with us in support on May 19th.”
“A
vote for Props 1A through 1E is a vote to keep teachers in our
classrooms, to preserve firefighting resources and to ensure that older
Californians have the health and social services they need,” said Ryan
Loney, Vice Chair of the Yolo County Democratic Central Committee and a
student at UC Davis.
The
Yolo County Democratic Central Committee serves as the official
representative and governing body of the California Democratic Party in
Yolo County.
The
Yolo County Democratic Central Committee joins other political
organizations in the state including the Los Angeles County Young
Democrats and the Democratic Party of San Fernando Valley, united
together to protect critical programs like health care, education,
social services and public safety.
